Julia was born in Chicago, Illinois, and after a 15 year sojourn in the DC area, returned to obtain her bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Chicago. There, she worked on Fermilab's Short-Baseline Neutrino Program, in the SBND and MicroBooNE experiments. At Harvard, she continues to pursue her interest in experimental neutrino physics, searching for Heavy Neutral Leptons in IceCube with innovative machine learning techniques in the Argüelles-Delgado group. When not in the lab, Julia enjoys hiking and nerding out about early medieval history.
