Shion Kubota

Shion was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan.  She received her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College where she majored in Physics with High Honors, minored in Computer Science, recevied a certificate in philosophical logic, and won the Concerto Competition with flute. Shion now works with Professor Roxanne Guenette on the DUNE experiment, where she enjoys working on both hardware and simulation projects.

She is/has been a scholar of Grew Bancroft Foundation, Ezoe Memorial Foundation, and Masason Foundation, which are all prestigious programs in Japan.

In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing piano and flute, reading, and learning about abnormal psychology.
