Former Undergraduate Student, LSST
AliKurmus

Ali Kurmus joined the Stubbs Group as an undergraduate researcher in the summer of 2022 and earned his A.B. in Physics from Harvard University in 2024. He is now pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Washington, where he works with Prof. Elise Novitski on the Project 8 collaboration—an experiment that employs Cyclotron Radiation Emission Spectroscopy (CRES) to determine the absolute neutrino mass. Ali’s research interests lie at the intersection of particle and astrophysics, exploring phenomena where the physics of the very small meets that of the very large.
