Jonathan Haefner
Jonathan is a fourth year graduate student in physics. He grew up in Livonia, Michigan. He earned a B.S. from the University of Michigan in 2016, with a double major in Physics and Mathematics. He has previously worked with the LZ experiment on dark matter, and the ACME collaboration searching for an electric dipole moment of the electron. Jonathan is currently working with Professor Roxanne Guenette on the NEXT experiment, searching for Majorana neutrinos through neutrinoless double beta decay. He primarily works on the calibration and analysis with Kr-83, and on measuring the characteristics of PTFE relevant for the NEXT-100 upgrade. When he isn't doing physics, Jonathan likes to play music and practice Spanish.
