I am a Fellow of the Department of Physics, currently working on the MicroBooNE experiment, a liquid argon TPC designed for short-baseline neutrino physics. My research is focused on the eventual excess of electron neutrinos in the detector. The excess was previously observed by the LSND and MiniBooNE experiments. The MicroBooNE experiment will help to confirm and clarify the nature of the excess, which could be caused by physics beyond the standard model.
